Anurag Kashyap wins accolades.

In his recent Instagram post, Anurag Kashyap wrote, ‘Probably the best mainstream film I’ve seen in 2023. At the age of 71, Vidhu Vinod Chopra has created a masterpiece based on the simple story of a stubborn man. He wants to be more than what life gives him. The film shows that he goes and gets what he wants and how he does it will also be seen. What amazes me about the film is how they break all the mainstream conventions and shoot the scenes in simple long shots. Have come to see the story without being in the air. bother someone. It felt like we were a fly on the wall watching a movie. A background score out of league, something that mainstream cinema always shies away from.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra was highly praised.

Anurag Kashyap says, ‘The filmmaker has faith in himself and his actors and his storytelling that he doesn’t use BGM to play with the audience or emotions. A filmmaker is at the peak of his storytelling and that too at this age. Now I have hope too. Vidhu Vinod Chopra has set a new benchmark for filmmakers like me who feel a little lost. Thanks to the whole team, including people I don’t know, and all the actors. Special thanks to Vikrant Massey, Medha Shankar, Anshuman Pushkar and Anant Joshi and cinematographer Ranga, production designer and music director and writer.

Anurag was encouraged

Anurag Kashyap added in the post, ‘I have met Manoj and I have read the book, but I could never see in him what Vidhu Vinod Chopra saw. It is on Hotstar and must watch. I was unlucky not to have time to watch it in theaters, so I watched it at home, but this movie is a must watch. Love Vidhu Vinod Chopra for inspiring me. It’s possible that you’ll never grow up and still be the same pesky child at age 71. Just a big hug and love from you. And I’m ready to start over.’
