Punjab Kings played their previous home matches since 2008 at the Inderjit Singh Bandra Stadium which has a capacity of 27,000 spectators.
Punjab Kings new home ground has better drainage system. Here the match can start in half an hour after the rain. There is a herringbone drainage system to drain the water. All kinds of facilities are available in this stadium. There are dressing rooms of international standard.
The first match will be played against Delhi Capitals.
Punjab Kings will play their first match in IPL 2024 against Delhi Capitals on March 23 at the Maharaja Yadvinder Singh Cricket Stadium, Milanpur. In the first phase, only one match will be played on this ground. Under the captaincy of Shikhar Dhawan, the Punjab Kings team could not perform well in IPL 2023.
