Big revelation in Mahadev betting app case
While investigating the Mahadev Betting App case, the ED found that the money earned through this betting was sent to Dubai through Hawala and most of it in tax haven countries like British Virgin Islands, Curacao and Vanuatu. was sent ED sources said that the money from these tax haven countries was converted into white money and sent back to India which was invested in the Indian stock market and several Indian companies. Let us inform you that ED is conducting search operations at 17 locations in this case.
1000 crores were sent back.
Sources said the figure is around Rs 1,000 crore, which the accused had earned through speculation and sent abroad through hawalats from India. Then this money is now reinvested in India through foreign direct investment i.e. FDI. During the investigation, the ED found several such evidences and locations from where the money was being diverted. In this regard, 17 ED teams were formed this morning and they were sent to search a total of 17 different locations in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Raipur and Madhya Pradesh.
So far 9 accused have been arrested
ED sources have also informed that this search is going on in total 3 locations in Mumbai. ED is probing the Mahadev case from several angles. The direction of the investigation is specifically on the investments made by accused persons associated with Mahadev Betting App in India through FDI from tax haven countries. Let me tell you that so far 9 accused have been arrested in this case. The main accused in this case, Saurabh Chandrakar, Ravi Appal and Shubham Soni are still away from the ED’s arrest, ED has also issued a red corner notice against them. Let us tell you that all these accused are currently in Dubai.
