By now you must have heard about many types of road accidents, but one such road accident has come to the news from Gopalganj in Bihar, in which a person fell on top of another’s pyre and died. Another person is reported to have been injured in this road accident. Another person’s pyre was burning near the Daha bridge. Due to the intense flames, the family members of the deceased had moved away from there. Then people’s attention was drawn to the loud noise coming from the funeral pyre. When people rushed there, they saw a living man burning.
He was returning home with his wife’s medicine.
Actually, the entire incident is being reported near Daha bridge on NH-27 in Kachekot police station area of Gopalganj district. Vakil Prasad, a resident of Vrat Belwa village, along with his nephew Shiv Kumar, was returning on a motorcycle with medicines from Uttar Pradesh’s Tamkuhi area late on Thursday evening, police said on Friday. Meanwhile, an unknown vehicle coming from the front near the Daha bridge hit the bike hard due to which Vakil Prasad fell down the broken railing of the bridge onto the burning pyre. Since no one lived around, half of it was burnt down. However, when some people saw him, he was somehow pulled out of the pyre and informed the police.
Lawyer dies, nephew admitted to hospital
The police immediately took him to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital. In the incident, Vakil Prasad died of burns, while his nephew collapsed near the pyre. He has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Police is investigating the matter. (IANS)
