The MNF made Wanlalawina its candidate
Meanwhile, Mizoram’s main opposition party Mizo National Front (MNF) will field incumbent Rajya Sabha MP Vinalalvena for the state’s lone Lok Sabha seat. A senior MNF leader gave this information on Thursday. Vinalalveena (54) was elected to Mizoram’s sole Rajya Sabha seat in June 2020. He said that MNF’s current Lok Sabha member C Lalrosinga has chosen not to contest the election.
Earlier, MNF and Congress had held talks to form a pre-poll alliance to jointly fight against the ruling Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) but the talks failed.
