AAP launched social media campaign in support of constitution, democracy.

New Delhi. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday launched a campaign on social media and appealed to people to support it to save the constitution and democracy in the country. Atishi, a Delhi government minister and senior AAP leader, launched a social media campaign called DP (Display Picture) at a press conference here and appealed to people to participate.

He said that all party leaders and volunteers will change their ‘profile picture’ on other social media platforms including X, Facebook and WhatsApp and show Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal behind bars. Also, Modi’s biggest fear is that Kejriwal will be ‘captioned’. Atashi said Kejriwal was the only political leader in the country who could challenge Prime Minister Narendra Modi, hence he was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) without any evidence immediately after the Lok Sabha elections were announced.

He claimed that despite a two-year-long investigation into the alleged excise policy scam, the ED could not produce any evidence. Atashi alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi want to eliminate Kejriwal and said that the Aam Aadmi Party is fighting against dictatorship in the country.

Appealing to people to join the party’s social media DP campaign, the senior AAP leader said saving democracy and the constitution is not Kejriwal’s fight alone. Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on Thursday last week in a money laundering case related to the excise policy. The court has sent them to the agency’s custody till March 28.
