Holi boosted sales of Blinkit, Instamart and Zepto, with demand for these items sustained

Quick Commerce Companies: The festival of Holi has added color to the income of instant commerce companies. Platforms like Zomato’s Blinkit, Swiggy’s Instamart and Zepto saw huge demand for Holi items. White t-shirts, coconut oil, pichkari, rang gulal, flowers, sweets and food items witnessed huge demand on the quick commerce platforms. This has led to a huge increase in sales across all these platforms.

Records broken on Valentine’s Day.

Swiggy Instamart receives around 7 lakh orders in a day. This is the highest number ever. Zepto also created a new record and delivered around 6 lakh orders in a day. Encouraged by these figures, executives from instant commerce companies took to social media platform X to express their joy. Blinkit co-founder and CEO Albandar Dhendsa wrote that the record we set on Valentine’s Day this year is about to be broken. Kishan Adepally, co-founder of Swiggy and head of Instamart Phani wrote that the demand for flowers has increased 5 times compared to last Holi. On the other hand, Zepto CEO Adit Palecha wrote that the demand for white T-shirts has increased tremendously.

Companies are entering new segments.

It is constantly observed that demand on instant commerce platforms increases exponentially during festivals. On February 14, Valentine’s Day, Instamart, Zepto and Blinkit broke single-day sales records, Economic Times reported. Earlier, these companies had set new records on December 31. Quick commerce companies have also recently expanded their product range. Now, like Amazon and Flipkart, these companies are also entering fashion, beauty, electronics, toys and home and kitchen products.

In the evening, the demand for food increased.

After soaking in the colors of Holi during the day, tired people in the evening had increased their demand for food on Zomato and Swiggy. According to the report, the demand on both these platforms increased on Monday night. The demand for sweets also increased rapidly. However, the companies have not yet released all the figures.
