Mizoram’s main opposition party MNF has alleged that the ruling party ZPM had received financial support from the BJP for the 2023 assembly elections. MNF president Zoramthanga said on Tuesday that the ruling party in the state is also trying hard to join the NDA. Addressing a rally in Saitual town, Zurmathanga alleged that Chief Minister Lalduhuma had approached Assam CM Himanta Biswas Sarma before the assembly elections to join the ZPMNDA.

Zoramathanga made this claim.

Zoramthanga claimed that the ZPM had received money from the BJP before the state elections last year. He said ZPM wants MNF to sever ties with NDA to pave the way for it to become part of the alliance. Former CM Zormathanga claimed that despite being in an alliance, his party has consistently opposed the NDA government at the Center on issues affecting the interests of minorities and Mizoram.

Made this claim about Amit Shah.

Zormathanga claimed that Union Home Minister Amit Shah had pushed for the Mizoram Police to be removed from the inter-state border during the conflict with Assam. On this he had warned that he would resign from the post of Chief Minister. Earlier, Lalduhoma had said that his party would remain independent of any alliance at the Centre.
