A restaurant owner was shot dead by unknown persons in North East Delhi’s Usmanpur area. Police gave this information on Wednesday. “The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Sanjay, a resident of New Usmanpur,” police said. Sanjay owns a restaurant in the area called ‘Gava Bar’.”
Sanjay was shot several times, police said. Seven empty shells and one live 7.65mm round were recovered from the scene. The police are investigating the incident from all angles including personal enmity.
A bloodied body was found on the road
At around 12:05 am between Tuesday and Wednesday, Nitin was informed by a friend that his brother Sanjay had been shot, said Northeast Delhi DCP Joy Turki. When Nitin reached the spot, he found his brother covered in blood. Sanjay sustained injuries on his head, right shoulder, right elbow and right stomach. Sanjay was rushed to the hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Sanjay was riding a bike at the time of the incident.
“Sanjay was on a bike at the time of the incident. Probes are being made from all angles. Attempts are being made to identify the culprits. CCTVs are being scanned in the area,” DCP said. P said. (IANS)
